This is the replacement filter for Dinan's carbon fiber intake on the B58-powered 540i and related G-series cars. When the original filter in that intake is worn or you want a spare for service, this is the matching element. Its ends are molded to fill the Dinan airbox, so the filter gets as much usable surface area as the box allows.
