The Gen 1 B58 leaves the factory with a plastic charge pipe. Heat and age make it brittle, and more boost is often what finally cracks it. FTP's version 2.1 pipe is aluminum, bolts in where the original went, and has a wider bore so air reaches the throttle body with less turbulence.
What you get
- Aluminum pipe in a red finish in place of the plastic factory part.
- Larger diameter than stock for more flow and sharper throttle response.
- Two bungs for water-methanol injection on this V2.1 design.
- Three-ply silicone couplers, plus the O-ring, seal and C-clip needed for the install.
