Valve springs are what keep the valves following the cam lobes. Add more boost or a more aggressive camshaft and the factory springs can run out of control at high rpm. This Ferrea kit pairs springs and retainers rated for turbocharged use, so the valvetrain stays stable when the engine is built for more power.
