Once a Supra is pushed well past stock power, or switched to ethanol blends, the factory in-tank pump runs out of flow. DeatschWerks' DW440 is a brushless pump that drops into the A90's tank with a vehicle-specific install kit, giving the low-pressure side plenty of headroom.
What you get
- Brushless in-tank pump rated at 440 liters per hour at 40 psi on 13.8 volts.
- Enough flow for about 1,000 hp on gasoline or 750 hp on E85, per DeatschWerks.
- Supra-specific install kit to fit the pump in the factory location.
Good to know
- Brushless pumps need a digital controller to run. Confirm your setup includes one before you install.
- DeatschWerks recommends a 10-gauge hardwire kit so the pump sees full voltage.

B58 Fueling Explained: HPFP, LPFP, Port Injection, Flex Fuel and E85
The B58 fuel system has two pumps. The low-pressure pump (LPFP) in the tank feeds the high-pressure pump (HPFP) on the engine, which feeds the direct injectors. On a tuned car, the HPFP is usually the first wall, and eth
B58 HPFP Install: Gen 1 F-Chassis, Gen 2 B58TU and the GR Supra
The B58's high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) bolts to the back of the valve cover, by the firewall. You disconnect the battery, bleed off the pressure by slowly cracking the 17 mm line nuts into rags, then remove the lines,

Tune it first. On a GR Supra 3.0, a flash tune or a JB4 is the biggest gain per dollar. Next, add a downpipe and a Stage 2 map, and a better heat exchanger so the car stays strong on hot days. After that comes fuel: flex
