The head gasket seals the combustion chambers between the block and cylinder head, and it is one of the first parts to suffer when cylinder pressure climbs. This Cometic gasket is made for the second-generation B58 (B58TU) and is a common choice for engine builds and high-boost setups. At .071 in, it is the thicker of the two versions we list, which lowers compression slightly compared with a thinner gasket.
