The newest B58 uses a plastic diverter valve to release boost when you lift off the throttle. Turbosmart's Kompact EM Dual Port VR58 is a plug-and-play replacement made from billet, with a piston that seals more positively. This dual-port version vents to atmosphere.
What you get
- Billet construction in place of the factory valve.
- Boost-balance design that helps the valve stay shut under boost.
- Positive-seal O-ring on the piston face.
- Atmospheric venting through the dual ports. Turbosmart also makes a plumb-back version.
Good to know
- Turbosmart lists this valve for the B58 Gen 3, not earlier engines. Check your engine before ordering.
- The valve cannot be checked with a smoke test, and a vacuum test needs a high-flow mechanical pump.
