The front caster rod on the M340i, M440i and M240i rides in a big hydraulic bushing built for comfort. Under hard braking, steering or acceleration it flexes a lot, and that shows up as vague steering and a soft brake feel. SPL replaces it with an adjustable spherical bearing, so the front end stays put and you can set caster.

What you get

  • Spherical bearing in place of the hydraulic OEM bushing, which removes the deflection.
  • Adjustable caster. More caster adds camber as you steer, improving mid-corner grip and braking, and gives stronger self-centering and straight-line stability.
  • Wheel position adjustment from the side, useful for clearing a bumper or fender that rubs.
  • Less front wheel hop on xDrive cars.
