The factory inlet between the air filter and the turbo on the Gen 2 B58 is a plastic hose with a built-in sound chamber. FTP's replacement pipe holds its shape under boost and drops the chamber, freeing up the final stretch of airflow into the turbo.
What you get
- Rigid replacement for the stock intake hose that won't expand under boost.
- Sound chamber eliminated for sharper turbo response and stronger mid-range and top end.
- Better airflow and reduced turbo lag.
