On the S58, the downpipes and their catalytic converters are where the factory exhaust is most restrictive. Fabspeed worked with HJS Motorsport to fit the biggest HJS converter the G8X chassis has room for, so you keep cats while freeing up a lot of flow. It's the downpipe for owners who want more power and sound but don't want to run cat delete pipes.
What you get
- Large HJS catalytic converters, the biggest that would fit the chassis.
- High flow with cats in place. Fabspeed rates it at 93% of the flow of a 3" straight pipe.
- No check engine light, and emissions-compliant performance, according to Fabspeed.
- Measured gains. On Fabspeed's own DynoJet the peak gains were 20 whp (at 6,500 rpm) and 23 lb-ft (at 3,200 rpm).
- A bit more sound, with slightly more volume and more pops on deceleration, but no added cabin drone.

- For a more aggressive note, Fabspeed suggests pairing it with their intermediate X-pipe.
