Past roughly stage 2 power on a Gen 1 B58, the factory high-pressure fuel pump can't keep up, especially on ethanol. Dorch's DS25 replaces it with a higher-flow pump at the same mounting point. It's the update to Dorch's earlier DS2, redesigned inside (pressure chamber, springs and plunger) and run at up to 250 bar.
What you get
- DS25 high-pressure fuel pump with mounting hardware.
- Dorch high-pressure line rated to 250 bar, to connect the pump to the fuel rail.
- Engine cover spacer and a plug-and-play adapter harness.
Flow, as Dorch rates it
- Gasoline: about 750 whp (about 1,000 whp with Dorch's +40% Lift Kit exhaust cam).
- E50: about 650 whp (880 whp with the cam).
- E85: about 550 whp (770 whp with the cam).
Good to know
- Dorch's kits are built as a drop-in for the factory pump position: the hoses follow the OEM routing, nothing is cut or bent, and the DME keeps full control of the pump. Each kit comes with Dorch's own high-pressure line to the fuel rail instead of reusing the factory line, and Dorch backs its pumps with a lifetime warranty.
- The pump needs software that supports it. Dorch's in-house calibration team supports its pumps, so tell your tuner which pump you're running.
- Fits Gen 1 B58 cars through the 2019 model year: M140i, M240i (F22), 340i (F30), 440i (F32), 540i (G30), 640i GT (G32), 740i (G11) and X3/X4 M40i (G01/G02). It does not fit 2020+ (Gen 2) B58 cars.

The B58's high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) bolts to the back of the valve cover, by the firewall. You disconnect the battery, bleed off the pressure by slowly cracking the 17 mm line nuts into rags, then remove the lines,
B58 Fueling Explained: HPFP, LPFP, Port Injection, Flex Fuel and E85
The B58 fuel system has two pumps. The low-pressure pump (LPFP) in the tank feeds the high-pressure pump (HPFP) on the engine, which feeds the direct injectors. On a tuned car, the HPFP is usually the first wall, and eth
