do88 Intake System - BMW M340i (G20) / M240i (G42)

do88's intake replaces the factory airbox on the G20 M340i and G42 M240i with a fully sealed system that only draws cold air. A heat shield blocks heat from the exhaust manifold, and a second air feed removes the restriction of the single factory inlet. On do88's flow bench the intake alone flowed about 15% more air than stock, and up to about 23% with their turbo inlet for the OE turbo.

What you get

• Sealed airbox with heat shield and a second air feed. The box leaves room for a strut brace.
• Smooth carbon intake tube that starts at 105 mm and tapers to the turbo inlet with no sharp bends, finished in a UV- and heat-resistant gloss clearcoat.
• Washable 105 mm cotton filter. do88 suggests cleaning it about every 20,000 km.
• More induction sound. The two factory silencers are left out, so turbo spool is easier to hear.

Good to know

• The do88 turbo inlets have no crankcase heating element, so that connector is left unplugged. do88 recommends a custom tune to avoid a check engine light.
