Dinan High Performance Heat Exchanger - B58 340i

On the Gen 1 B58, a front-mounted heat exchanger cools the water that runs through the intercooler. Dinan's version uses a much thicker core than the factory part, so that water stays cooler and intake temperatures stay lower through repeated hard pulls.

What you get

• 48 mm core in place of the 27 mm factory core.
• 78% more cooling surface area and volume than stock.
• Lower intake temperatures. Dinan measured an average drop of 8 degrees and up to 15 degrees across 15 back-to-back wide-open-throttle pulls.

Good to know

• Because the core and end tanks are larger, the plastic shroud around the cooling stack may need minor trimming, especially on cars with BMW's optional hot-climate heat exchanger.
