The front-mounted heat exchanger on the Supra and G-series B58 is small, and on a tuned engine it struggles to keep the charge cooler's water cool. CTS Turbo's replacement uses a larger, higher-flowing core that still drops into the factory location, which helps bring intake air temperatures down.
